The bad news--Left 4 Dead 2's first DLC, The Passing won't be coming out before the end of March as planned. The good news--Valve has revealed a bunch of new weapons and enemy types that will premiere in the spring-due DLC.

When the Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 crossover DLC, The Passing, was first announced, Valve expected to deliver the content in "early 2010," a date that was later revised to mean March. With precious few days left in the month, Valve has come clean, admitting the DLC has been delayed and that the developer is hoping to release it "sometime during the spring." For those of you without Farmers Almanacs, that means anytime before June 21.

Luckily, Valve knows how to taper our disappointment, as the developer revealed a handful of details to the UK's Xbox Live news program "SentUAMessage." The Passing will cost $7 when it releases, and will include at least two new weapons--a golf club and an M60 machine gun heavy weapon--the latter of which is a non-reloadable weapon in the vein of L4D2's rocket launcher. Two new enemies are also on tap--a new uncommon zombie loaded with flammable ammunition called the Fallen Survivor as well as a "bride witch," who will likely be just as aggravating as the normal witch, but with a flowing gown and veil.

The video in which the announcement is made with witty English quips is embedded below--The Passing details are revealed in the first two minutes of the clip. Left 4 Dead 2 fans--are you angry about the delay or excited to hear about the new content?
